Why This Firm Exists

I started Amerifusion Consulting because I kept seeing the same problem from every seat I occupied. At Big 4 firms, the advice was technically sound but disconnected from how businesses actually operate. Inside Fortune 500 companies, the audit functions I managed were well-resourced but often reactive, built to satisfy regulators rather than protect the business. The gap between what organizations needed and what they received was consistent, and it was wide.

The best advisory work happens when the advisor has stood on both sides of the table: the side that examines and the side that builds. I have spent over a decade doing both. Financial audit at KPMG taught me how to evaluate risk with precision. Managing operational and IT audit functions at Tenet Healthcare and Stryker taught me how large organizations actually make decisions under pressure. Running third-party risk management and compliance programs at BDO taught me how to build frameworks that hold up to real scrutiny.

In October 2024, I made the decision to stop renting out that perspective and start building something with it. Amerifusion Consulting exists to bring the caliber of advisory work that Fortune 500 companies build internally to organizations that have never had direct access to it. The person who advises you is the person who has done the work. Every engagement is led at the principal level.

I grew up in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and built my career in the United States. That path gave me the habit of seeing systems from the outside before operating within them, which is the entire point of hiring an outside advisor.

How Amerifusion Consulting Works

Most advisory firms specialize in one discipline. Financial advisors understand the numbers but miss the technology risk. Cybersecurity consultants understand the threat environment but miss the business context. Amerifusion Consulting was built to operate across both domains because client challenges rarely fall within a single discipline.

Every engagement begins with understanding the client's actual situation, not a standardized assessment template. The scope, depth, and expertise assembled for each project reflect what the client needs, not what the firm happens to sell. When an engagement requires specialized capability beyond the core practice, Amerifusion Consulting brings in domain specialists with direct experience in the relevant area.

The firm builds long-term advisory relationships. Clients return because the advice they received previously proved reliable.
